Sunny Days children have the opportunity to socialise, learn and have fun. Our purpose built environment offers children free access to a wide variety of learning experiences and our professional teachers promote active, confident learners.
We work in partnership with parents using a project approach, where children are guided through interesting topics, engaging them in a wide range of activities such as dramatic play, construction, crafts, painting and drawing. Children feel actively involved in their own learning, which motivates them to learn more.
Sunny Days follows the Ministry of Education, Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whãriki. The strands of the curriculum are; well-being, belonging, contribution, communication and exploration. These are fundamental to our programme, and the development of each child. Check out Sunny Days latest ERO report here.
The centre is licensed for 62 children, including 14 up to two years of age. Our Sunny Days children come from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. Sunny Days is a purpose built centre with three separate indoor learning spaces and two outdoor spaces designed specifically for the needs of different age groups.
